Default Allegheny Gun And Trade = Good People

Anyone else have good things to say about these guys?
I have been in their place several times over the years on non-firearms related business and they always greeted me with a smile, answered any questions I asked (even non-firearms ones), and never told me anything incorrect or false.
So I went back there with the intention of getting my first handgun from them and got a good deal on my 1911 and a lot of the gear I need for it (holster, extra mag, case, cleaning supplies...).
I'm sure I could have gotten a better price online somewhere, but if price was my only concern, I'd never go to another store again...

Here are two other threads on that shop... mostly I read good things, but not always.

I haven't been there in years, but used to love the place.

That story in the first link you posted looks like such a load of crock. When he say's "the fact that they refused him service leads me to seriously question the decision making abilities of the staff in the organization" and at the same time claims to have shopped there before...well that just doesn't add up: because "they" must be one of two people, Mark or Chuck. And "they" are easily distinguishable by 1 obvious question: "did he have a beard?" Quick. Easy. No way to get it wrong.

But did his friend, who is upset about being rejected like that remember which guy told him that? No. You can't remember if someone who you think lied to you had a beard? Really? I'm the type to get mad and burn that person's face into my mind...but you know, I'm also a real person, unlike the subject of this story.

So combine no facts presented about who it was, and somehow not knowing the two guys who have staffed it the past how many decades yet claiming to have been in there? = bullsh*t.

I've gotten a ptr91, pof415, and taurus 24/7 oss through them, and they're nice folks who do like to ramble on a bit, but it's a good time and makes the paperwork go by faster.

    Big thumbs up from me.

TIP: When commenting on something in another thread - do it in that thread.

I'm closing this one. No need for more than we already have.
