Re: 44 days
UGH, finnaly huh. Mine took about 40-ish (lehigh county), dont remember exact # but yeah they sure know how to dick around dont they. I may be wrong but I think 45 days is the legal limit they have to give it to you. Maybe someone with exact info will be along to rectify. Both my girlfriend and I went the SAME day and she had hers like 2-3 weeks before I did , then I was really sweatin. Thinkin well, she got hers , where the hell is mine, ya know. But anyway it eventually came like I said, just took forever. Anyway, congrats
and to the dust you shall return

12 Days in Allegheny. I was expecting a lot more... And they were real pleasant at the Sheriff's office. And the woman giving them out was real cute so it was a bonus on top of that.
I heard that in Westmoreland, the sheriff goes about the towns and does them on the spot. Not that is service with a smile

Re: 44 days
If it takes longer than 1 hour,it's BS.
The regs were written before there were computers,so the 45 day rule was needed for a person to be checked out, snail mail, now that everything is in a data base somewhere, there is no need for a LTCF to take 45 days to get.Government 99 and 44/100 % pure bullshit.

Re: 44 days
Yes ,this is exactly right and it is ridiculous that you are made to wait. How can one county do it in minutes or hours but another takes 45 days-or more. In addition some Counties say it is 45 business days so it actually takes longer. Places like Philly don't care how long it takes and no one seems able or willing to enforce this.
I started another thread last month about 50 days in DELCO. I stopped in the Sheriffs office for other reasons and overheard two fellas come in with their paperwork and both were told "50 days".They both were renewals to boot.Tim
