    Default Ruger over-under 3-1/2"

Can a Ruger over-under shotgun with 3" chambers be reamed out to take 3-1/2"? Will it take the pressure after some metal is removed from the chamber? Was this ever done by anyone? This would make a nice do all over-under.

I actually don't know, but I, myself, would be leery of doing that. It was engineered to take 3" shells, I don't know what would happen to the structural strength if you bored it out. I don't know that a gunsmith would undertake that job, mainly for liability reasons.

I doubt it, I would trade it on a browning cynergy, or Beretta Onyx Pro with 3.5" chambers

Another consideration is after it is bored, can the forcing cones be lengthened to restore it's function.

Xringshooter is right, good luck finding somebody to take that chance.

If you can find somebody to do it, would you ever be able to sell it? I wouldn't buy it. Just something to think about. I would say buy a 3 1\2" gun.

I question why you want 3 1/2" chambers?
