CC in philadelphia hospital

hello all
new to this posting stuff but I m going to visit someone in philadelphia hospital and was wondering if anyone knows if they have metal detectors and or rules against cc

What hospital?If it's University of Penn they have no metal detectors.I go there every 2 weeks and have never had an issue.

I don't believe Jefferson or Hahnemann has any. I get hit by cars on my bicycle often and every time I checked my firearm because I expected x-rays and getting naked.

I had to pick up my buddy from HUP and they definitely have a metal detector. I informed them that I was carrying and they let me check the firearm in one of their multiple safes. I was able to retrieve the gun after I got my friend.

I believe the e.r. entrance. He was on the third floor, but I was following his wife who may have taken me through the e.r. entrance.

OK that makes sense.I go there all the time for blood work clinic etc.... (Liver Transplant Patient) and never had a problem I always enter through the bridge from the parking garage.

Same here -- you should avoid the ER entrance unless you are actually going to ER. Use the parking lot bridge or the large main entrance and you should be good. I used to be a frequent flier there (cancer survivor) and have carried concealed often without any issues. If something has recently changed them I will certainly stand corrected.

I can understand that the ER has metal detectors because on Friday and Saturday nights the Philadelphia Gun and Knife Club meets and the losers go to the ERs in Center City.

I went to visit someone in Pennsylvania Hospital once since I started carrying. There were no metal detectors when going in the main entrance on 8th Street. The old entrance on Spruce street is now an employee only entrance that needs and ID to open.
