New Smith and Wesson Pistol and Revolver
It looks like the boys in Springfield have been working on a new line of light weight defense pistols. Both of these have lasers integrated into the weapon.

Re: New Smith and Wesson Pistol and Revolver
Revolver Yea, except why not just get a 442 and put CTs on?
Pistol, big fucking nay. That thing is ugly as shit! I bet if they tried
really hard they could put another button/swith/tab/pin on the frame!!
Also, it should be a 9mm. The .380 market has, in my opinion, been saturated and made as good as it can be made with the LCP/P3AT.Last edited by Kb! Bob; January 19th, 2010 at 09:52 PM.

Re: New Smith and Wesson Pistol and Revolver
I agree that the auto is not my cup of tea. However, it seems that the .380 is very much in style, though I do not care much for it. That thing is chock full of levers and buttons, yuck.
The revolver is cool because of the ambi cylinder release. I do not know how well the laser will hold up, or if the Smith warranty will cover the laser. Prices are TBA.Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!

Re: New Smith and Wesson Pistol and Revolver
I agree that .380 is very much in style, hell I have an LCP myself. I just think that the P3AT/LCP are jus what the .380 CCW shooter wants: small, simple, inexpensive, no more no less. I just know that a couple higher end .380 offerings by Sig and Magnum Research havent gained much support. I guess it really depends on the price point.Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Amen. **PROUD III**

Re: New Smith and Wesson Pistol and Revolver
So they made an LCP and an LCR...
I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

Re: New Smith and Wesson Pistol and Revolver
The .38 Revolver is ok but that .380 Auto is a dud!

Re: New Smith and Wesson Pistol and Revolver
I like SW but these are just not IMHO not smith's best designs or looks. Ruger's LCP is much better lookin and as far as a 380 thier is plenty of choices to pick a concealed pistol to meet your needs than these, sorry SW but you failed on these with me.

Re: New Smith and Wesson Pistol and Revolver
If they'd just make their current models without the infernal lock... I'll be very happy.
ETA: I would like them to reintroduce 9mm revolvers!Last edited by MEH; January 20th, 2010 at 09:23 AM.

Re: New Smith and Wesson Pistol and Revolver
That is one UGLY 380. But I guess if it functions well, gets some good reviews it may work out for them. das
