WTS: Winchester model 70 .264 magnum
This item has been sold. Thanks for your interest. This is a rifle which I am trying to sell for a co-worker. This and the other I am listing belonged to her late father. I am assisting her despite the fact that I know nothing very little about rifles since I am not a hunter.
This one is a Winchester model 70 in .264 magnum, which I understand is an odd caliber for this model. She says it is in very good condition. I am attaching several photos, so you be the judge. It does not have a scope, but somes in a soft zippered case. Judging by what they are going for on gunbroker.com, she is asking $1,000 or best offer.
If interested, please e-mail me at dmg1969@yahoo.com and I will forward it to her. Transactions to be completed at a local (Harrisburg area) FFL.
I have photos that she took, but they are too large to upload. If you care to view them, please e-mail me and I will send them to you.
Thanks!

Do you always have the same post in your que so you can just paste it or do you retype the EXACT same thing verbatim every time? Just curious....

Just a fair warning DMG, I'm a hunter and I'm not sure that you can get very close to a grand for this gun. Some of the new ones that are in 7mm mag and stuff are going for close to that price, but I'm not sure if you can get that for a used rifle, especially in a wildcat caliber. I've shot all kinds of oddballs and I've actually never seen a .264 magnum, I suppose the caliber might make it harder to sell or could make it more collectable. Do remember that since winchester stopped making rifles, the model 70's prices have gone up, especially since shooters want to build other rifles off of the actions, but just wanted to give you a heads up. Best of luck to ya

Thanks, Tomcat. Not sure if you read it entirely or not, but they (this and the Optima muzzleloader) belong to a co-worker. I am the first to admit that I am not a hunter and know little about rifles. The price was determined by what the same rifle in that same caliber are going for on gunbroker.com. Thanks for the info though...I appreciate it. If it doesn't sell at $1,000 o.b.o., we'll go lower.
