so i started tearing it apart.....all both seats.
yeah, that tub is about shot....i kinda knew that already though.
need to get some heat to get the windshield and hood off it.
then pull some plumbing off the body...might take the booster off too.
alittle bit of wiring to undo and six bolts and the tub will be ready to come off.
once its on the floor i can take an angry beaver to it and make small rusty pieces.
probably end up dropping the tranny and rear rear off the frame then in order to adress some issues.
then on to the replacement tub.

was trying to run the tank dry this morning as well.
any other time that would'nt be a problem, of course now that i'm looking for an empty tank......

that's either an hj or bj70......we did'nt get the 70series here.....or any of the h or b series engines....not that there's anything wrong with ye 'ol f series.
"they" thought the pickups were good enough for us in the us.....canada on the other hand did get some.

a careful application of a ball peen hammer revealed the tub was far more wasted than i even remotely thought....and i thought it was bad.
so with surgical precision i removed the rust from the rear half of the body.
now i need to get tangled up in the cowl....did'nt want to strip that, but o well.
