I have always thought Mir was a douche... I was wrong.

    He's a smart douche

I liked the statement... Cops often get their meals for free, because a place where people are carrying guns are less likely to get robbed. About the best was to sum up my reason for people being encouraged to OC more often!

Best interview about weapons in general in have seen yet.

Mir of course did not meet every question perfectly, but that video is well worth showing around, and the responses were clear and well-rounded. I honestly expected some UFC interviewee to have some sort of hyper-reactionary response about how violence is just for the ring and guns are bad and our kids blah blah blah.

I cannot agree more with Mir that if our teachers were instructed on armbars, schoolhouse violence would be virtually unheard of. (1:46-2:07)

There are a lot of UFC fighters that have a great respect for firearms and their owners. A lot of these guys got in to martial arts as a way of self defense. It is only logical that they would see guns as a great tool for defense of one's self and loved ones.

Vid was sweet! I've been a Mir fan for a while and had recently heard some quotes from him regarding socialism and lost some respect. I've regained that respect after watching this video.

and as was stated, many of the pro mma guys are actually very pro-gun. Brock is sponsored by fusion ammo, Mike Brown is sponsored by bushmaster, and a lot of the fighters (Martin Kampman comes to mind - a Danish kickboxer at that) have "gunsamerica.com - buy guns, sell guns" emblazoned on their shorts.
    Let them take arms

I'm a big fan of Frank Mir as a fighter (especially after watching him DESTROY Chiek Congo... Now THAT was an overhand left!), but had never heard him talk about anything pertaining to "real-life" everyday issues...

Good video, and it gave me some more reason to root for Frank (aside from me hating Brock Lesnar also)...

    Thanks for posting!

    Regards,

    Bones
