Default Correct Cleaning solvents for M&P15-22

I love the smell of Hoppe's in the morning, especially after a good shooting session with my new M&P15-22. However, page 18 of the instructions of the M&P15-22:

    http://www.smith-wesson.com/wcsstore...fle_Manual.pdf

state that "ammoniated solvents or other strong alkaline solvents, should not be used on any Smith & Wesson firearm". Now, Hoppe's #9 semi-auto solvent does contain ammonia, and was recommended to me by the establishment that sold me the rifle. I'm thinking of switching to Hoppe's Elite Solvent.

    Any advice?

its probably the plastic that they dont want you to get the hoppes on because it may discolor it. for the barrel and chamber it should be fine.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.
