Is the Savage Mark II F 22LR bolt action at Walmart good?

Does anyone have this gun or know anything about it? It was $127 here and was thinking about getting one but want to see if its good or not.

I believe I have that model. I didn't buy it at Walmart, but the price was about the same. If think we are talking about the same gun - bolt action, black synthetic stock, blued, and it comes with a 10 round magazine. If so, it is an accurate gun & works well. It is hard to beat for the money - IMO.

What kind of ammo you use? I use Federal bulk. Do you use a scope?

I have not picked up a scope yet. I have been amazed at how accurate it is while using opens sights.

As far as ammo - I have used everything.

I checked out Gander, nothing there really. Cheapest was 200 and left handed.

Site doesn't mention a magazine safety, but then it doesn't mention safeties at all~~Savage makes fine weapons, I don't think quality is an issue.

I have 2 of them and they seem fine! You can fire single shot with the mag out.

Do the WalMart models have the Accutrigger?
