And, can you believe it, some departments actually require an officer to "qualify" with the off-duty gun, too. How anachronistic.

I too would have to guess that this guy was a "poser". ALthough, the PSP has the Liquor Control Enforcement side of things too. I know they carried Beretta 96D in 40 sw, and maybe they still do. Who knows.
I love shooting my 22lr walther p22. Its trigger time on the cheap. Cause in the end, shooting is all about fundamentals. Grip, sight picture, trigger pull, and follow through. So, who cares how "powerful" the cartridge is, if you are practicing with good habits, it all pays off in the end. And you save a lot of $$$ with 22lr. Heck, you can improve your skills without spending any money, just dry fire. I spend $5 on every caliber I own and purchase dummy rounds. That way I can practice jam clearing during my dry firing drills. But you dont have to
