Default Best local place to pick up an AK?

I have a bud who has around $350 to pick up an AK variant, non folder, wood or plastic. We saw some up at Dunhams near Century 3, but were less than impressed by the quality.

Any deals to be found? I figure he can save up some more, but is aslo saving up some cash for other things as well.

From what I've seen around, Dunham's is your best bet for a local buy but you're going to leave with a WASR around that price. For another $100 right now you can get a Hungarian AMD65 there but it's a side folder. Your best bet is probably to look at Classic Arms or another online site... you'll get better quality for about the same when you compare shipping and transfer to the local sales tax.

    For $350 your options are:

    Dunhams for a WASR
Gun Runners (Canonsburg) and get a Saiga. It would be an un-converted one.

WASR's as of late last year were selling for $350 at the gun shows.
I'd rather buy it now than save $50 bucks but if you wait a few months they will probably drop down to $300 +/-

Forgot to factor in the tax. Thanks for that.

I wish that some of the local places had their websites up and running well, most of these gun shops have webpages that wouldnt pass muster of a geocities site 5 years ago.

Looks after looking around, classicarms has one of the better deals, a wasr with the hardware he wanted in the first place.
