Default Why I like my sigma

    1. It's looks better than a hi point
    2. Comes with two 14 round mags
    3. Cost around $400.00 brand new
    4. It's a smith & wesson
    5. Can use most holster that fit G21
    6. Never had any problems feeding, firing or ejecting
    7. The trigger is a hinged type of safety, not like other popular brands that have a center piece that sticks out (just don't like that feeling on my finger)
    8. After removing the "pigtail" spring. Trigger pull is around 6-8lbs.
    9. If it hits the ground no biggie.
    10. If I use it in self defense and I am without it for a couple of weeks or forever. Again no biggie.
    11. No external safety
    12. Accurate at combat distance

All in all I'm happy to carry this gun everyday. I trust it with my life.
But it is not a target piece. Nor was it designed to be. With all that being said. Boy would I like to have a Kimber CDP II. Maybe someday

    I have to agree.

My first handgun was a Sigma in 9mm, probably about 15- 16 years ago now. I now have a dozen handguns, yet the cheap Sigma still likes to shoot accurate, and does what it is intended to do.

You forgot the number one reason...

Because it's yours! If you're happy with it, then that's all that matters.

+1, always love getting people's opinion but ultimately if I like it then I use it.

I like them because all of the e-gun experts, most of whom have never touched one, let alone shot one, regurgitate what they read on the internet and dog them.

I bought a Taurus PT111. My intention was to carry that. And I did maybe three times. Then I went back to my sigma. So now any new guns will have target shooting in its future. But will not be a carry gun. And knowing that helps me consider more expensive guns. I think I will need more money And thanks for all the positive feedback.

I am with all you guys. I had a SIGMA 9 and I had no problem with it. It was very reliable and I was very accurate with it. I had a guy with a Glock tell me all about why it wasn't good and after he watched me popping a target at 25yds, told me how I must be a good shooter. I consider myself average but I am no better with my XDM, SIG, or any other pistol. It's a solid piece and I shouldn't have sold mine.

My first handgun was a sigma 380. The only gripe I had about it, was the lack of a locking slide and if I recall , you had to depress 2 ears to drop the mag.
