Question Anyone's LCR skipping a chamber during rapid fire?

My Ruger LCR keeps doing this randomly, regardless of chamber, ammo, or shooting stance/hold. Anyone have a similar problem? User defect or gun defect?

That usually happens when you do not allow the trigger to completely reset.

I have never had this problem with any other revolver. My gun dealer has experienced the same problem and is discussing it with Ruger at the SHOT show.

This has happened to me with my S&W 642. Exactly the issue.. not letting the trigger completely reset. When trying to fire rapidly, it's easy to make this mistake.

Yup. This is operator error. If you pull the trigger on your unloaded LCR and slowly let it reset you will hear a series of clicks. These clicks is the reset of the trigger, firing pin and rotating assemblies.

If you were to not let the revolver fully reset, it will "skip" a chamber without dropping the firing pin forward. Practice will fix this!

Just like short stroking a pump shotgun or riding forward a slide on an auto, this is not a problem with your weapon.

If the revolver does not skip a chamber when pulling the trigger slowly, it will not do it when properly stroking the trigger...

    You’re short stroking the trigger.

They all have their personalities and reset a little different. It all depends on the design.
