Re: " Concealed handgun permit holders dont protect police officers. They kill them.
My question would be, of all the LEO incidents involving firearms, what percentage of them are with people having a valid CCW permit?
How may with legally owned firearms?
Any particular group, licensed drivers, boy scouts, honor students, gun owners, are going to have people that behave badly or outside the law, even the brady bunch or PETA members can be law breakers. The question is what percentage of the group is behaving badly, not that a few individuals behaved badly, and how does that group respond to those that are "problem children". Do we say nothing or do we make it known that we do not tolerate or endorse wrong behavior.RIP -The US constitution.

Every criminal had a first crime, so it's certainly possible for someone to sail through a criminal history check and then commit a crime, even a violent one.
The thing is, the government isn't allowed to treat us all as "criminals who just haven't been caught yet". There have been examples of that, where entire nations are run like prisons, and you have to earn each right by sucking up, rather than lose it through misbehavior.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

And thats fine, but there have been multiple documented cases across the Country of armed Citizens saving the lives of Police Officers by jumping into the fight in one form or another. Are you saying that if you happened upon a scene where it was clear an Officer was in mortal danger , with no back up in sight that you would simply move on and not move to help him/her ? Its your choice afterall , but I for one simply couldnt do that. If Im in a position to help another person in life threatning danger , I will do so, even at risk to myself. My conscience would and has compelled me to do so.

We do, have and will not tolerate unlawful or dangerous behavior. On the pages of this forum are many examples or our unwillingness to condone in any way poor judgement or illegal acts. Gunowners as a whole have no interest in being distructive to our fellow human beings. We are armed to stop distructive acts, not to create them. All of us are disgusted when anyone causes damage or death to others for no sensible reason. Myself, it doesn't matter if they hold "permission" to be armed. There are people in positions of power and authority who step outside the law everyday and cause harm. Hell, our own Congress has more criminals per capita than legal gunowners do.
