How many of us live in a small town, and get the age-old braindead question perpetrated by people for years...

You live in (small town, PA), why do you need to carry a gun?

I've reacted in some of the following ways, I'd be happy to hear your rebuttals:

• I hope you're right, but if you're not, I'll be prepared and you won't
• A cop is too heavy

Considering that about 1-in-7.5 people in my county is licensed to carry, chances are you might get asked "you live in Brookville, why aren't you carrying?" may be greater. ...which is what I usually retort - "look around, this is Jefferson County.. 1 in 8 people is carrying a gun. Even less if you factor out children and felons."

These are things many people claim to need, yet they question your need for a gun.
I call anyone who questions my "need" for anything a moron.
