Comments from the last two shows there -

    http://forum.pafoa.org/gun-shows-111...0-oaks-pa.html

    http://forum.pafoa.org/gun-shows-111...nife-show.html

    * Traffic on Egypt Road seems to be an issue

    * Lack of ammo dealers at previous shows

    * Small show for $9 admission.

    YMMV

It is an odd show. Too expensive for a small show. I'm debating going based solely on the price.

Considering it is all of about 10 minutes from the VF show, you would think it would be packed.

If they don't figure out something in the next show or two, it is going to start having a hard time drawing dealers.

Huge hall with aisles you could drive a car down, for whatever reason, it isn't catching on yet.

The first one that I went to at Oaks, the gun show was competing with the train show. Traffic was awful, parking hard to find, and constant mingling with whining 5 year olds blocking up the sidewalks screaming " I wanna see Thomas the Tank Engine NOW!" Otherwise it was sort of OK. I'll probably go to the January 30th one.

I was there once. No signs, hard to find and I wasn't the only one having location problems. Parking arrangement was odd and not many if a large crowd showed up, assuming they can find the place.

The show was small and didn't impress me at all. Once was enough, I'll never go back even if it's free admission.

That gun show/train show combo was opening weekend for facility. I saw on a train forum that the official attendance at the train show was over 35,000. No wonder nobody could move!

Anyhow, they've had all sorts of shows there since, I live about 5 minutes from there and haven't heard/seen any major traffic problems since.

I'm probably not going since I really don't need anything and I have to pay admission for me and the teenage son.

I too live 5 to 10 minutes from this location. The issue with the traffic that were mentioned are true of the first show at this location. They stemmed from two issues, first being that the train show was the same weekend, the other was that the local police(Upper Providence) refused to adjust the timing on the lights coming off of rt 422. Now because of those two issues the subsequent show have had very low attendance. I was sitting with a vendor I know at the last show before thanksgiving, and many of the other vendors are getting dissatisfied with this show. As it was, only about 2/3 of the space was being used, and if more vendors pull out it will be even less.

Tried to get to it from Philly and the traffic was a dead stop right off the expressway. Ended up the day shopping for woman's clothes with the little woman. Was not happy.

I'll probably try to make to this one since it's close for me too.
