Default Masterkey shotgun with a longer barrel

is it possible to buy a KAC masterkey shotgun (mounted to the barrel of an AR in a similar fashion to an M203) with a longer barrel and magazine tube so that i dont need any special liscense/permit for it?
    thanks guys

yeah, well... its an awful lot of AR
im just considering it for sometime a few years down the road. i dont even have an AR right now, and the one that i plan on buying wouldnt be compatible with this anyway. so its a while from being made.

IIRC the minimum OAL for shotguns is 26", with 18" minimum barrel length so being as impractical as that'd be I doubt they make one from the factory. I guess legally you could do one up yourself though.

who needs 6-8 shots? take an old double like a stevens 335, cut the barrels to 18+, remove the buttstock, and fashion a pistol grip to fire from. if it's connected to the rifle by screws that require a tool to remove it meets the 26" rule, and would be 6-8 inches shorter than a pump gun.

It's still going to be a SBS of some variety to fit under an AR 15. And / or, it's going to weigh like as much as an SUV and stick out like 6-8" from the front.

If you had a "slightly longer" and more matched to a 20" barreled AR masterkey, it would still be a very short barrel on the 870 to stay under the gun. Because of the 870's receiver.

Trust me I have an 870 and an AR 15 here I look at with that thought at least once a week. And if there wasn't so many other things I wanted first. I would have made an attempt to make one. Except I'm sure KAC wants like 3x whatever they should actually cost.

yeah, it figures. well maybe ill look into it someday, but ill shelve it until i can just get it to be an SBS.
the KAC one is $3500 i think.
