    Default G27 40sw vs XDSC 40sw

Which of these would you prefer and why for IWB CCW? I will also be picking up a 357sig conversion barrel for which ever I choose and would love to hear if anyone has converted their 27 or XD to 357. I heard that all you need is a barrel change, no mag change.

They are essentially non identical twins. One has an ergonomic glock grip, the other has a more standard 1911 grip. Handle them both, and see which feels and shoots better for you. You can't go wrong with either one.

I voted for the XD because I've owned a couple.

I'd go with the G27, I have a G33 with a factory 40 barrel, so it's a reverse of what your looking for. Same mags can be used for either, parts and accessories are easy to get, and installing them yourself is about as easy as feild stripping the gun.

Even though the firearm is for you, I loved the way the G27 felt in my hand. I use it as my every day CCW, and haven't had any problems with it. If you get a chance try both of them out, and base it off of that. Best of Luck!

Have both, both great guns...can't go wrong with either one.whichever feels better would be the one to get.(I like the way both feel and can shoot both the same).the glock is easier to field strip tho.the xd has a better trigger imho.unless I'm not used to the glock yet..

I've owned and carried both.. settled on the G27. For me, it was a bit less bulky and more accurate in my hands.

Not sure about the conversion. I have a 9mm barrel for my G27. Even for that you don't NEED a 9mm magazine, but I bought some anyway. Obviously the .357 had different case dimensions though... the base of the case is the same diameter of a .40 so I'd assume feeding would be pretty good.

    I don't like the grip safety, G27.
