    Arrow Scranton/NEPA area for Glocks

Looking to expand my collection and get my first pistol. Specifiacally I'm looking for a Glock 23. Some places online I see I can get one for about $478, but with shipping and then the fees to have it sent to an FFL, I think it'd probably be cheaper to just goto a shop and buy it.

What are some places around the Scranton, PA area with good prices on Glocks?

I can't comment on pricing for Glocks, but for the best service:

    any place but Gander Mountain.

some shops are Bill's Sporting Goods, on N. Main and W. Market Street. Advanced Arms, in Pittston. J&G Sporting Goods, in Throop. Gun Toters, in Eynon.

do NOT spend you money at Carbondale Guns. it's about 1/4 mile from Gun Toters.

out of the shops i listed, you'll probably get the best price at Bill's or Advanced Arms. Advanced Arms has the better selection of holsters, Bill's carries more ammo, cheaper. the staff at both are some of the best people i've ever met running a shop. these are the stores that get most of my paycheck.

Thanks for the info. I've been meaning to stop by Advanced Arms in Pittston, but haven't gotten around to it. Maybe this weekend.

I've been to Gun Toters, bought a Ruger 10/22 there. Was decent to deal with. Right now I'm trying to get an idea of who's good to go to and who has good prices. It's going to be a few months before I can afford one.

i don't know about the other shops, but Bill's does layaways, at reasonable rates. they won't rush you to pay it off, either; you have a couple of months.

Chris at Advanced is usually willing to work with you as well. I'm not sure what the official policy for payment is, but I remember looking over it. But I usually put around half down, and then the rest when I pick it up.

Just another option if your interested in checking it out...
