Re: Choosing a CC holster
I'm also a Don Hume fan. My SP101 rides in a Don Hume Model 721 (with a retention strap). Galco also makes a nice holster at a reasonable price. My G19 rides in one of those (don't recall the model as this holster is a good 10 years old). The Galco also has a retention strap as I prefer that type.
I wear a Cabela's Safari Vest in the fair weather days (and, NO, I don't think a vest screams "GUN!" and I wouldn't care if it did). In colder days like now, I wear a Filson vest (not the western style...got one, keeps me warm but is too short to conceal).
Also, a sports coat works well all year and people don't look at you funny if you wear it inside.
Both the Hume and Galco holsters are around the $50-$60 range. A good gunbelt will cost you about the same (if it's leather). Don't go cheap on your carry rig. If you can afford the gun at $400-$600, you can swing the bucks for a decent carry rig.
I do not use Tee Shirts for concealment, but if you do, you'll want a fair amount of cant so the gun is 30° to 45° to your height. Less likely the butt of the gun will print. Looser tee shirts in darker colors work better too.

Well, pushed 60 too hard so now I am the big SIX-OH. Now I can be a real pain in the ass! And, who says growin' old isn't fun!!
