Reloading data
I know some of you guys have used Precision Delta bullets for reloading. Is there any reloading data specifically for their products or would you start with Hodgdon's data and fine-tune from there?

Re: Reloading data
Precision Delta's bullet are FMJ's (unless you're buying their lead, which would be obvious).
I treat them the same as any FMJ listed in the reloading books.
Start at minimum and work up.

Re: Reloading data
Park, Some bullet manufactures do publish load data but I have not seen or heard any from PD. I use the powder mfg data in such a case. On some light skinned varmint bullets (Hornady Balistic tips come to mind) show slower or reduced loads because they can come apart at higher speeds. One Sierra varmint bullet had a restriction to shoot below a specific speed (3400 fps). The PD is a hard FMJ which shouldn't have this problem. I have heard that the back end of lead bullets can melt at hotter loads and coat the barrel with excessive lead. So you do have to consider the make up of the bullet.
