Just got a 1911
I have been looking to trade my G27 for a G30SF. I always loved 1911s but figured the price was a little much when I can just keep getting slightly used Glocks in the $ 420 range.
So I am set on getting the G30SF when they have a SA GI 1911 brand new just sitting in the case next to it. I as usual resign myself to the usual..save the money and get the Glock. Well they jacked up their prices on the G's as of Jan 1 to $620 ..the 1911 was $560 so I was like well now is the time.
I asked for it and the dealer smiled as he handed it to me for the first time, like a crack dealer handing out crack to a soon to be junkie.
Needless to say, it rode home w/me that day. I swapped the G27/4 mags, some ammo and cash to get it. I LOVE it. I already put 500 rds thru it
God does she shoot sweet. Why cannot Glock copy that trigger feel ?? It is a fricken tack driver.
The lower rt side of the red center is 5 shots at 50 ft !! the head shots were done at 75 ft line
I got a new Wilson Combat Mag (47D) thrown in w/the deal.
Now where can I order online .45 ACP ammo ??
Has anyone tried luckygunner.com ? they have 500 rds of steel case 230 Gr for $165Last edited by Glock It; January 10th, 2010 at 04:51 PM.

Re: Just got a 1911
Welcome to the 1911 club .
As far as ammo goes, it can be found but it's not as cheap as it used to be. I got my last case at natchess.
Enjoy your new friend they are great guns.

oh no! you're infected with the 1911 bug. condition: chronic.
i don't know if i'll ever love another pistol as much as i love the 1911. you got a good one, too, and at a fantastic price. Springfield makes great guns.
