lol as I was reading this I was thinking about posting that pic, saved me the trouble thanks! lol. This is by far my favorite hand gun, never ever leave home with out it. It has never failed! well one time I had a few failure to feeds...but it was my own stupidity that did it. Turns out that 9mm will fire very inaccurately but doesn't have the power to cycle the slide all the way

I been thinking about a Sig Mosquito 22. Winter Digital Camo Threaded Barrel.
    I Don't own a 22.
Anybody have any experience with the Mosquito,Do you like it?
The P229 is beautiful I seen it never got to shoot it.
The price seems a little steep.
Also the The P250 is pretty cool.
    I keep reading about it.

After reading all the good things Sig I was very suprised to find a slightly used Sig Pro 2022 9mm hiding on a bottom shelf at my LGD for $330. Figuring I could never afford a new sig so I put it on layaway. Last Friday i picked it up and was suprised to find it came with 3mags in the box. Can't wait to get it to the range and try it out.

I bought my Sig p229 used off of a guy at work about 3 years ago. It is 2 tone, polymer grips with a stainless slide, night sights .40 barrell. I'm thinking about buying the 357 barrell for it, just for shits and giggles. Before I bought this, I thought I wanted a Glock, my friend told me he had this for sale, just slightly used...I couldn't tell it had ever been fired, it's a beauty, I couldn't pass on the price he gave me and I'd reccomend it to anyone.

Love my Sig! (Railed p229) It's very accurate and its only jamed 3 times when I first bought it. I was using cheap ammo and I guess it wasn't broken it. Even so, works great now! I just wish they made high-cap magazines for it. There's nothing quite like slapping a 31 rounder in the Glock and digging up the lawn.

They sure are nice guns. I just bought a mosquito and I love it. Now I'm thinking about picking up a 226 or a 229. I kinda wish I had some more money!

I can't speak for the 226 (although I'm sure it is just as good if not better) but the P229 was a dream. I really thought I couldn't like a gun more than my M&P40, but this one, by a wide margin, surpasses it (that's not to say I don't like the M&P. Matter of fact I like Smith so much after getting the 40 that I bought a M&P15-22 a week ago).

Thumbs down Re: Rented a Sig P229.. Fell in love?

I had a Sig P229 in .357 Sig once, felt great in my hand and shot well for a while. After about 500 rounds the firing pin placement pin broke in half and got jammed in the slide. The hammer spring weakened so much that it didn't allow the hammer to strike the firing pin hard enough. Sig Sauer sent me replacement parts but the gun is hard to completely disassemble and reassemble. I know Glocks and 1911s like the back of my hand but that Sig seemed to be complicated on purpose. I sold it, I'll never dabble in the "black" guns again (maybe a Glock), I'll stick to my 1911s.
