    Talking My new 9mm shooter

I have been collecting some parts over the last year and finally I found the last "part" It was a Smith and Wesson model 36 "Chiefs Special" in near new condition for a good price.

I set about removing the barrel and cylinder and fitting the S&W 940 barrel which is sized .355 for 9mm rounds,
After setting the barrel nice and straight.
    940 Parts are stainless steel.
I went to fitting the cylinder which is also from a 940, I had the cylinder reamed to 9x23 round, So with the use of moon clips I can shoot 9mm/38 super and the quite powerful 9x23 rounds with easy loading and unloading thanks to all being in moon clips.
I had to remove some metal from the extractor to make it time up and work well in both single and double action.
After having it function as it should I played around with an assortment of grips I had lying about and setteled on these Ajax fake Ivory grips and a polished Tyler T Grip.
I then checked proper function with primed shells and all works well ! ! !!
Range report comes when I can get a chance to get out and really give it a work out,,,,,,,, Unfortunately that may be several weeks from now.

So that's it for now folks.
If you recoginize me, You know I like revolvers, And this one was a fun project and I dont yet know what the next one will be??????
Thanks for looking and have a safe new year!

With the exception of having somone machine the clinder to 9x23, I did all the fitting/Tuning and adjusting of the firearm.
First time pulling a barrel from a J frame, And boy that old barrel must have been near 80 Ft, Lbs,,,, Really stinkin tight, I was worried about bending the frame, But the Jigs I made up to hald the barrel in a vise and one to turn the frame did what they were supposed to do and it was not a difficult job once it was done.

To use the kids phrase Awesome, everything that you could want beauty-function and one of a kind. That should be one kick a** snub with an attitude.

    Pred,
I remember the day that you were at my house picking up some 7.62x39 ammo that I had. You told me of the parts you had and your plans to build this awesome snubbie. I am very happy to see the finish product. Looks great! Good work! Can't wait to hear about how it performed at the range.
