Re: 2010 NFA Time lines
Update on the below...I think it sucks that I'm the "nightmare" guy this year.
1. NFA Item: SBR
2. Form Type: Form 1
3. Transferee Type: Individual
4. Forms Sent: 11/5/2009
5. Forms Received: 11/13/2009
6. Check cleared: 11/24/09
Then nothing happened for 2 months. Upon calling TODAY, they had no record of my application in the system, yet the pigs had no problem taking my money. Additionally, my delivery receipt from USPS and the signature on it matched the date and signature of reception on their end. Mr. Howard is apparently the guy who finds lost applications and seemed quite capable. I am to call him back next week as he thinks the application is in the building, but ended up in the wrong office. Awesome.
7. Pending Date:
8. Approved Date:
9. Forms Received:
10. Examiner Name:
So then the application was officially lost. I sent in another one 2/2 and it was received 2/4. However, for the past 4 days (at least), the NFA office is closed or otherwise not answering the phone at all during any hours of the day. Oddly (yet not so oddly for this group of jokers) the answering machine message says nothing about attenuated hours, or weather closing or anything else. According to it, they're sitting around with their thumbs up their asses, which frankly can't be too far from the truth considering the minimal amount of effort it takes to process an envelope that has been signed for by the person responsible for processing it. Ordinarily I don't mind beauracratic delays, indeed I come to expect them. What really pisses me off is that my check was cashed by these swine a day after it was received. Then nothing happened. That part's not cool.
If the entire organization were swallowed up by the earth, I'd throw a party.Never, never, NEVER talk to the police. Ever.

Re: 2010 NFA Time lines
Oh. Pictures forthcoming once it's all approved and arrives, but it WILL be:
- LMT Defender lower and piston upper with CQB MRP 12" barrel.
- Beta-C mag/Magpul 30-rdn clips
- Extra-gnarly stock (I forget the brand, it'll be in the pics)
- Crimson Trace vertical front grip w/ laser/light
- Trijicon TA31DOC 4x tactical scope w/ red-dot reflex sight on top
- still have to decide on a flash suppressorNever, never, NEVER talk to the police. Ever.
