Some of you are rippin' too hard. Sometimes I'd like to see what people say when a couple people with 1,000,000 post counts don't get the first words in.
That is the difference. You were happy when someone did something for you for free... but you did not feel entitled to it. The OP openly admitted that he felt entitled to it being free. Read his first post. He thought it should have been free because it took only 20 seconds. He then complained about that fact. That is self entitlement.

I also wonder if he walked into the store stinking of self-entitlement and arrogance as he does on this forum. If he did, that may be yet another reason why the gunsmith decided to charge this guy for the service... not that he actually needs a reason to charge a customer for work performed.

hey, i'm not commenting on whether or not charging someone for adjusting a rear sight is a smart business practice (not really possible to judge that without knowing more about the business).

but, unlike you, the OP is definitely displaying a serious sense of entitlement throughout this thread.

he is entitled (for some reason) to have his sight adjusted for free...or, at least, something less than $16

and, he is entitled to make more money than most of us because he is going to be a special person, er, pharmacist.

no one held gun to the OP's head to get him to agree to a $16 service. For the record i think it is a high price too, but I would not go there and have it done only to bitch about it after. He could have gone somewhere else.

Then he has to pay 16$ for that....do without, or God forbid try it himself.

You either know someone or you don't....and you can choose to pay 16$ or not.

    It's pretty simple really.

A liar. He can't spell bowels or adjust a Glock sight, I'll bet he works at Burger King. "Wud you like frieds with that?"

OK folks, I'm just going to close this now, as it is going downhill fast.

I'll remember this thread when I pick up a prescription that's ready faster than I expected it to be. Then I'll complain about it.

    I weep for our future.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
