    Default Home made practice targets

Snowy days make me glad for airsoft

I decided I wanted to do some drills at home today, and I found out the other day my new CED shot timer has an "airsoft mode".

I brought home some box's from work and printed up the specs on IPSC targets. I made them 3/4 size, did one master and then use it to cut out the others. I made a A zone template as well and trace it out in pencil (all 3/4 size).

Does an airsoft projectile make a mark or go through cardboard?

What distance (range) are you going to typically engage from?

Which Airsoft pistol do you have?

will go right through two layers and out the back. Without 2 layers it will dent the wall gas guns are amazingly potent. Without protection they will leave scars, break skin through clothes, chip teeth, and leave a nice welt even through a normal shirt.

varies. Today I was at 5 yards practicing single shots.

Damn I didn't know they were that expensive.

How do the "spring" guns compare - not at all?

Hmm which one offered out there would be similar to my CW9...hmm.

Thinking I might need to get me a 1911 so I can get a good airsoft for training - how is that for justification? I don't think thw wife will accept it though.

If you cut out the A-zone and attach a loose peice of fabric to the back, it makes sort of a bag, and will catch all your BBs, assuming you don't miss.

I participated in an Active Shooter training in a high school and we used gas powered airsoft guns. My favorite of course was the M4 when I was point. They had Glocks and SIGs for the flank and rear guard positions.

They also had a Mossberg 500 that is supposed to fire 6 BBs at a time, but we didn't use it.

I picked up a gas powered airsoft pistol from Walmart. Shoots 400fps uses CO2. Not bad for I think $40. Kind of resembles a Sig. Trigger REALLY sucks buy not bad practice.

That's what I want too. Well, that and to stop seeing 99,000 reviews and videos of airsoft guns when I'm looking for the real version of a particular gun.

Maybe they should come up with a better name than airsoft, they sound pretty wicked.
