MadamRaven & AMGibson arrest - (mostly) just the facts

Can't give details here but MadamRaven and AMGibson were arrested last night.

Police took MadamRaven's pistol and LTCF.

Right now everyone's operating on just a few hours of sleep.
More details will be made available later - when it is ok to do so.

MadamRaven, Fingers, Wildpony, Shomari (and his wife), and I just walked to City Hall to retrieve her property (pistol)

We were told the Quartermaster was not on duty - Monday - Friday only.

The confiscated firearm has been returned to it's owner. There is still some question about the ammo, as supposedly there is a department policy to destroy all ammo, though apparently that is supposed to be confirmed.

Personally, I can't imagine how an agency could justify legally destroying someone's personal property that is NOT contraband.

There is also the matter of the confiscated LTCF - whether it will be formally revoked or simply thrown in a drawer and held hostage (we have two documented cases where this has happened in the past in this county). Either way, it will likely require court intervention to set things right.

Of course, perhaps those who are monitoring us will start to figure out that we have our shit together, this is not our first rodeo, and we do not simply accept actions that fall outside the limits of the law - even when it is the police who are outside of the boundaries.

MadamRaven's LTCF has been revoked as a result of this incident.

Hearings on the DC charges for both women will take place shortly after the new year.

happy new year for what its worth. I cant think of one person who has any good new year news yet.

So today amanda and I head to court to dispute our Disorderly Conduct charges. Court starts @ 3 and i cant imagine it will take too long unless they actually participate in the trial and entertain us. Now if they do that they will have to find both of us not guilty because neither she nor I intended to cause public annoyance, etc...
the only person who was annoyed was a LEO.

I wish you could have posted sooner about the hearing, maybe you could have garnered some support in your corner. At least moral support.

I knew that. Until I hear differently, I will assume that they were arrested for no reason other than they were OCing and the secret police didn't like it or the fact that they would not admit to doing anything wrong.

I was just curious if there was more to, or something else as the primary basis for, the cop's "accusation" (i.e. lies) that might serve as an object lesson (e.g. they (within their rights) refused to produce an LTCF or other ID upon request).

They can't post details of an open matter. All will come out when it can be told.
Based upon the facts of the incident & the law as written, they should be found Not Guilty, but this DJ has a reputation of siding with the police even when they are wrong.
They are prepared to have to appeal to the County Court where justice has a reputation of being better served, so if the DJ does his job correctly & they are found Not Guilty, they will be both elated and shocked.
