I'm fine... my wife was already in my parents house at the time due to our work schedules tonight... otherwise we'd have been walking there together. That's what I am most thankful for is that my wife wasn't out there when it happened.

She was much more upset than I. I had adrenalin fueling me, I was outside looking for shell casings with the cops & since I didn't see the cops doing it...I went a little ways along the route the first two ran, looking in the bushes to see if they dumped the guns... My wife was inside with my mom breaking open a bottle of wine to calm their nerves.

I'm glad that you're okay but I'm surprised that the police didn't arrest you. After all you were nearly a victim but you were carrying an evil gun and that probably drew the trouble toward you.

Glad you're okay, your XYL wasn't there when it went down, and it wasn't your parent's window that was broken or their car that was shot. I can't believe that happened in your neighborhood! I always felt as safe there as my parent's house.

I never told the PD I was armed... they asked what I saw, & that's what I told them. They never asked me if I was armed & since I didn't have to even draw let alone fire, my being armed was irrelivent to their investigation.
BTW I was CC so no not even the criminals knew I could've shot back if I'd needed to.

I really can't believe this has come to my neigborhood!
My wife wants to start house shopping no matter how much a new mortgage puts a damper on our vacationing & other activities/hobbies we enjoy so much thanks to our low present mortgage.
I don't want to be strapped with a large mortgage payment & not be able to do the things we love to do.
I hope this trend blows over & quick! I can't have her unhappy & uncomfortable in her own home but I'm not going to run away from MY home due to some stupid young wanna be MTV gangstas!
