    Default application process, montgomery county

    quick question, I am new here so please help. ok, step 1- go to courthouse and get application. step 2- go to local police and get sign off. step 3- go back to the courthouse and turn in app and pay. please correct me if i am wrong.

    yeah...although not legal...Montgo Sheriff likes to add that additional step of the local PD into the process...

    You could try it without submitting the PD check card and then when they say its required ask them where in the law it says its required....

    I'd lay $ on a responce of, "It's part of the Sheriffs investigation..".........

    Don't like it, but that may be the answer.....

    Unless he deputises you, you have no obligation to preform his work, correct?
    The 2A does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not INFRINGE our right.

    Two weeks for my approval letter to arrive after I was told it would be 6-8 weeks. And I only had to go to the shrriff's office twice. Once to fill out the app. and once to get my picture taken and pick up my card.

    For Chester, I printed out the application, filled it out, went to the courthouse dropped it off with a check, they took my photo and mailed the license to me after a couple weeks.
