The new Bisleys are lighter in their frames than the older ones, but they are by no means wimpy pistols. I think you will have a lot of fun loading for it and shooting it, even staying within the regular specs. Here is a better picture of mine. You may notice my hand is a little larger than most.

I don't see a hand; A bear claw maybe! At least when I decide to start reloading I know where to find people to help me out.
I really do like the way the bisley looks. I was looking for a blued one. I was gonna get hand of god grips made for it. (from 3:10 to yuma) Then I saw this one on rugers website and wanted something different.

Them Ruger New Vaqueros Bisley model are kinda hard to find. Congrats on your selection. The NMV Rugers can handle any factory 45 colt load. Good enough to hunt bear.
