hell, that's still 100 times better than anything i've ever seen or heard coming out of a sheriff's office, oversights notwithstanding. it's progress.

I got mine today and was going to write an email myself about the errors.

Out of curiosity.... did every household receive this or just LTCF holders.... I can't say I'm very happy about it coming in the mail without a proper envelope for privacy.

What I have in my home is my business. Does best buy send me in the mail, an 11x17 Laminated Poster with a color raised text printout picture of the new $17,000 Panni Plasma I just purchased, STAMPED with my home address, name and info so everyone in the world can see that I now have one in my living room for them to steal.

This brochure is an exposure of my privacy. Even p0rn companies have the decency to send their dvds in plain, brown, unmarked packaging.

Maybe if he stuck less photo op pics of himself on the brochure, he'd have more room to put some good factual information.

he is correct. it is illegal to open carry in phila the way you can in delaware county. you need a ltcf in the city. in delaware county you dont and as they do border one another it is possible to leave your home in darby or havertown and walk into the city of phila. one side of the street you would be legal the other..negative.

Well then he should have said it was illegal to CC in Delco.

True, but that's not what the pamphlet says. It doesn't mention that OC is legal in Philly, if you have a LTCF. It just says "Firearms cannot be open carried [snip] in the City of Philadelphia."

Setting aside the grammatical horror of the phrase "open carried", the pamphlet is factually incorrect.

Wrong. You need a PENNSYLVANIA License To Carry Firearms to OC in Philadelphia. There is no need to have a license issued by Philadelphia. You should spend some toilet time with the stickies...

Ding, or illegal to drive a car, or illegal to drink beer.

The only thing worse than NO information is incomplete or ambiguous information

Maybe the Sheriff should hire a "Mis-Information Czar"

Two years in the making... Ugh, it actually suggest that any carry in Philly is unlawful by saying, "firearms cannot be open carried in an area where firearm possession is generally restricted (i.e. courts, schools, state parks, where restricted federally and in the City of Philadelphia)."

Now, fortunately this guy isn't in charge of educating the Philly police, but it doesn't help anybody.

Yes folks, the pamphlet isn't 100% correct in info or the way it's mailed. However, it is 1000 times better than the previous two, check out the links Pa. Patriot provided (thanks) for the last two editions, at least this guy heard some of the complaints, in fact most of the complaints, about the last two editions.

Certainly not an A+ but far from the F two years in a row.
