What gun do you use for concealed carry?????
Hey guys thanks for all your help on my last thread! I'm looking to buy a pistol for concealed carry. However with all the different reviews on the internet its hard to come to the conclusion of which is the best gun for the money. Basically what i want is something that is a 9mm that is small enough to carry without being noticed probably in the waistband, maybe ankle every now and then. At first I was looking at the Glock 26 and liked it however the price tag is alittle steep. Lately I was looking at the Kel-tec PF9 which i really like however people on the internet say that they are junk.
If anyone has a Kel-Tec PF9 please share your experiences with it, as this is the gun im leaning towards as of now.
If you like neither of these guns please suggest a better gun, (I would like to keep it 9mm just because of the ease of carry and magazine capacity but still has the power to pretty much knock someone on their ass.)
Thanks alot for all your time guys!

Re: What gun do you use for concealed carry?????
my brother has a PF9, and loves it. he had some minor problems with it, nothing that effected it's performance. it's been 100% reliable, and is super accurate, more accurate than people give it credit for. the only downside to it is the recoil; it's very slim, and weighs next to nothing, so recoil is very snappy, and uncomfortable. it's definitely not a range gun.
the first run had some problems with reliability, but those issues were resolved. some googlin' should answer those questions. alot of bad reviews came from people who have no real experience with them, as usual.
it's one of the best 9mm guns out there for concealed carry, in my opinion, and like other Keltecs, it's priced just right.

Re: What gun do you use for concealed carry?????
I have several. It depends on mood, carry method, etc as to what I might have on me at any given time. But my ALWAYS(where legal) carry is a NAA Mini-Mag pocket gun. I can carry that at work and be well concealed, it serves as a BUG the rest of the time. Next is a S&W SW9VE for open or lightly concealed, after that is a S&W 442 for deeper concealment.
When the SHTF......be the fan.

Re: What gun do you use for concealed carry?????
I've been carrying a PF-9 as my every day carry for something like a year now. I absolutely love it. It's slender, light weight, and absolutely reliable. I've not had one failure to feed/fire/eject with many different types of ammo. The only real issue w/ some folks is capacity. That's the trade off w/ the PF-9. Weight/size vs. capacity. You can always carry a spare mag or two.
If you want a little more capacity, go w/ the KelTec P-11. That's what I stared carrying. I live it just as much. It's been just as reliable. I just feel that it's a little too thick to carry IWB for me. I do carry it OWB in a FOBUS paddle if I'm out hiking/hunting/snowblowing etc. The grips on this are wide but not quite as wide as a G26. I like those but, can't get my hands around comfortably.
What Jah said about the PF-9 being snappy is true. The raised bumps on the plastic grips are bitey and uncomfortable. However, Jason, the instructor from my Utah permit class suggested using a piece of inner tube around the grips. This worked like a charm! I've had no discomfort since installing this. If you look around some of the other PF-9 threads, I downloaded a photo of it.Sed ego sum homo indomitus
