    Default Refinished AK

I finally got some good pics of the AK I refinished. It was a fun project that kept me out of trouble for a few hours.

Minwax Mahogany stain, with a satin spray poly clear coat. A gloss or semi-gloss would have made it a lot shinier, that's why I used the satin spray.

    Looks really nice.

I'd clean up the ammo in your work area, though.

Looks nice, I like wood furniture on Ak's much better than that plastic crap.

OK, stop 'baiting me' ... going to make me self conscience about my poor old original AKs and I am going to fester over it, HAVE to pull them out and see how bad the wood is, then more than likely have to rip them apart, sand them and refinish them.

Seriously, you are planting horrible thoughts in the mind of an anal retentive lunatic!
