Having done a small amount of instruction dealing with the car problem, and thinking of the "around the house" problem has led me to give these a try.


Normally I have my handgun holstered, as it goes on when Im dressed and just stays on. But sometimes, lazy days around the house, or other times the pistol would stay holsters but on the table/counter/desk, ect.
Ever try drawing from an un-belt-mounted holster? I have, its not ideal, although a lot of this would depend on holster choice.
If my son has friends over it gets concealed/covered or otherwise put where kids cannot access/see/touch it.
Then, when/if I have to pick my wife up from work the pistol position strong-side is not good for access in the car.

Seems this item lends itself to these situations well. It can go around the house with me, can belt in in the car, holds a light, is easy to access from carried.
I put a pen and pad in the outside pocket and can easily get out of the car with it in my hand without notice.

Im gonna keep working with it and see.

You know, I think about this often. Every night my holstered sidearm sits on the nightstand, right next to the bed. I always pop the gun out of the holster just enough to clear the retention but still have the trigger covered. I usually do this after the holster is off the belt and I must say it isn't easy. I wouldn't want to have to do it in the middle of the night, in the dark, under stress, in a bad situation.

Not a bad little bag for a "man purse."

Don't let that stop you, though. I'm a card carrying (or is that purse carrying?) fanny pack guy during warm weather.

A good, nondescript, hiking fanny pack w/ a holster sewn in to the main compartment will fool all but the most firearm saavy people. As I've posted before, my wife just thought I was a dork for almost two years until she realized why I carried the stupid thing.

If you don't mind the ribbing for being a "purse guy," this looks like a decent product. It doesn't scream "I've got a gun" quite as much as the fanny packs that are specifically made for concealed carry. (Which is why I modified mine the way it is.)

Furthermore, when you go on vacation, you actually won't look out of place.

not a chance in hell youd catch me with it on my belt outside of hiking/camping.

I just think its a great solution for around the house and in the car.
