Obnoxious .50 beowulf !!! but I want it !!!

I have one. Kicks like a 12 gauge. For about 150 yards it pretty much ruins the day of whatever it's aimed at. Kind of like a 45/70 +p

I would suggest some fairly tough optics as well.

Two things, 1 I love my 6.5G, and 2 there was a 50 B upper for sale on KSL.com. I don't know if it's still there or not. You 6.5G owners keep the faith, Hornady is supposed to be making ammo (at normal prices). Check their website. It's got to be better than waiting for the next boat from Finland. It will still probably be a WHILE before supply catches up with demand.

? Is .50 cal & above the PC point of ban/over the top. Never really thought about it.

A local dealer had one a while back, after shooting one, I decided that if I wanted to eventually destroy an AR lower due to brutal recoil, I'd just get a .50BMG upper and cut the brake off, much easier to get 50cal ammo anyway.

Total waste of time and money IMO.

Anything above 50 cal centerfire is a destructive device and already restricted. So .50 seems to be the new rallying point for the anti's.
The original Desert Eagles in .50 actually had a larger than .50 bore, and were declared DD's by the ATF.
.50cals are already banned in some states, counties, ect... just something to keep in mind when considering one of these, that and the ammo supply.

I just got my .50 wolf upper in and the ammo. No muzzle break and it kicks like hell. 10 rnds max for me for 1 day at the range. I bought a some factory ammo, brass and dies with mine so I shot reloads. Bout 60 cents a round for reloaded ammo. Takes most all .50cal pistol bullets. It slices, it dices, it turns 12" concrete blocks into powder, splits 4x4 wood posts almost in two. Its best at turning money into noise. If it wasnt this I'd go with the .450 Bushmaster upper for big bore fun apposed to the .458 SOCOM based on ammo and reloading for it component availability. Hornady is also currently producing their TAP ammo for the .450 as per their website. AA is ramping up ammo production but their brass manufacturer is way behind atm. Most of this due to mad gun and ammo rush ALL guns experianced last year.
