    Default need info

I have a iver johnson mini m1 garand 22 caliber seriel number 00020
I have had it for 20 years or so and can't find anything regarding it online. It looks and operates just like the normal M1 but is in 22 caliber and is a smaller version.

Anyone know of this gun or have information on it?

Are you sure you don't mean an M1 Carbine? If its a carbine they were made in 1985 and 1986, and one last time in '88. It should have a 15rd mag.

The price for a NIB or close to is around $225.00 and one that is poor shape goes for about $50.00

I gotta say I've been around guns for quite awhile, But I've never heard of a .22 caliber M1 Garand copy -- YOU HAVE GOT TO POST SOME PICS.

If it is a copy of the Garand in .22 cal - That would be awesome.

    I want one already

For a while, IJ imported the Erma-Werke "EM-1" Carbine chambered in 22LR from Germany, with IJ markings. The Erma EM-1 Carbine is a close visual copy of the USGI M1 Carbine, and often from 10-15 ft or more it is indistinguishable from a GI M1 Carbine.

They are decent shooters when they work, and in order to work they must be kept clean and you must try different brands and types of ammo to find the one that's "sweet" for the gun. Extra factory-made magazines are tough to find and expensive ($40-$50 ea) when found. Aftermarket mags are cheap worthless junk.

    The Erma EM-1:

18902man, I think Noah nailed it, Iver Johnson (Erma actually made them) only made the little M-1 carbine copy. Does his picture look like yours?

    Numrich has some parts.

    Found an update.

Very nice parts diagram and exploded view at "Bob's gun shop" found here (he has some parts available) :

Click on the picture of the carbine, then you can enlarge it again once it is open, very good exploded diagram of the Iver.

Yes sorry that is it. Sorry m1 carbine. Just have not seen too many actually never seen another one of them and I have the pre ban so I believe it is 20 round clip or maybe 18.

Mine is in great shape and with a low serial number. I could not even tell you how many rounds I have put thru the gun I remember one day I shot thru 1000 rounds 2 minutes to load the magazine and about 10 seconds to pling them out lol

You are in luck! I found the manual for the rifle over at stevespages: http://www.stevespages.com/page7b.htm

Scroll down to the "E" section, select Erma EM1, it opens as a PDF so you can save or print the manual for your own use. It is in German and English. Or go to the "I" section select Iver Johnson EW22HBA.....same rifle manual is all english.

Took me a while to go through my favorites....I had some info on ERMA, a buddy had one of the Erma .22 lugers we researched the hell out of and I saved all the links.

    Hope I helped.
