If the DA's turn a blind eye, they should face a criminal charge right alongside the governing bodies who passed the measures.
Agreed. But, who is left to prosecute the DA?

Isn't that the responsibility of the State Att'y Gen'l?

Getting the PA attorney general to jump into county (without the DA inviting them in and giving them con current jurisdiction)

That's a violation of the separation of powers in the constitution the legislator can’t force this.

If your county has a corrupt sheriff and corrupt DA in co hoots and they don’t violate any federal laws in that county they are (almost) un touchable and above the rule of law as they are the only counter check to each other’s abuse powers other than election day where you get to hold them accountable for their actions or inactions. Throw in a couple of in different judges in that county ( a silent media) as well and you will begin to understand why its so important for a informed electorate to be involved in the political process other than just on election day.

There are still Big misconceptions on the powers of the PA attorney general has and has not. It’s a relatively newly created position with limited in scope powers and other than Tom Corbett most of the other past 4 AG’s have not been gun owner friendly to most being down right unfriendly to gun owners. So you should never more give powers to an office (person) and expect someone elected to office to ride in on a white horse to save you from someone else not upholding the rule of law….. Because they could also abuse those power as well.

When the law is not crystal clear don’t expect anyone to care more than you do.

Rep Metcalfe’s remedy in this bill would have provided the means to let anyone hold elected people to office accountable for their actions and greatly level the playing field for US.

Sadly not enough gun owners supported this concept with their actions and deeds so this bill is effectively dead for this session.

Just look at the very few views and replies this thread has gotten, “just guessing” its more fun to complain and want someone else to do work instead of doing your part carrying that burden yourself, sorry protecting your rights is not a spectator sport it’s a full contact at the point of contact with never ending battle that is IF you want to keep your rights intact.
