    Default parkerizing tank?

    anyone have one handy? i have some kit builds that i would like to refinish... i am located in erie, but i work down in hagerstown md. (south central of pa)

    make your own from PVC pipe and a small hot water heater element. you can go to the plumbing section at lowes and get everything you need to make a vertical tank for about $40. use a dimmer switch to control the element and 4" diameter pipe for the vertical tank, with adapters and threaded fitting to hold the element in a base standpipe of 2" diameter. suspend parts in the tank from wire and calibrate temperature with an oven thermometer. exact diameter and length of chamber depend upon your needs. CPVC glue and standard white PVC pipe work well. saw this in a thread on theakforum.net

    my tanks are horizontal stainless 6X6X48 with gas fired heat source.
