Rifle range near Levittown

I just bought a new AR and I'm looking for a rifle range near Levittown, PA so I can break in my barrel. Anybody know any good spots?

you can shoot rifles at classic pistol in south hampton but your limited to 25 yards, there's a outdoor range in fairless hills but i don't knowe the name or location. you can also checkout wicens located in jamison, pa just off York rd (rt263). classic pistol should only be a 30 minute drive from levittown and wicens about 45.

Yeah, Classic is a nice place. Only 25 yards but with the target retrieval system you can get it sighted in and practice in comfort. You can get a lot of serious work done at 25 yards, a lot faster than at range.

You could even draw little commies and tanks and squirrels on your targets and do a little practice transitioning targets. Which is harder to do at longer ranges unless it is a plinking range. Unless you scope up. Most ranges won't let you shoot at more than one target.

Classic...took me 20 minutes from Levittown Shopping Center end of Levittown...Route 1 to Street Road...on a Saturday morning.

You're going to figure this out pretty quick, but I should add that bench height could be an issue at Classic. There is no doubt you can get a damn good zero fast. And do a lot of freehand practice. And shoot on one knee or a bipod. But prone is, of course, out. And the bench height is a little odd for my height. It is an indoor range afterall.

Thanks for the offer theo. I'm headed back to school in Maryland on Thursday so I might have to take you up on that the next time I'm home. I checked out their website but I saw that it was for members only and I don't spend enough time at home for paying for a membership to be worth it.

Ungawa, does classic not permit shooters to go prone under the bench? Or are the targets to close and too high to comfortably shoot prone?

I planned on checking out Wicens today, but the 24 degree weather and 16mph winds convinced me otherwise. Unfortunately its closed Mondays and Tuesdays. I think I'll try Classic tomorrow.

No prone under benches. There isn't room and they probably wouldn't want you doing it anyway.

Weekdays are good for Classic. The weekends are nuts. I just got back from there. I only go on the weekends when I'm going with someone who can't reasonably make it on weekdays.
