That's a hinged dust cover too. So that rail is rock solid. Its basically AR upper receiver rigid when its locked down in its little double button deal.

Probably going to get a C-More MRDS for it. Like the RTS.

Lawl! Its black man! How did you know I was going to do plum? Eventually ... ill pick up a Bulgarian set and put it on. Pink grip included.

I was going to do the 74 style S12 brake too to complete the look even.

But the 10 slot from MD seems to be all that's necessary. I shot 3" magnum buckshot from it yesterday. And it sucked, but only a little. The S12 is a pussy cat. Its like shooting a pillow as far as shotguns go. I put probably 80 rounds of buckshot / slugs through it. Plus 100 rds of target loads. And I barely have a mark on my shoulder. I could shoot it all day. The high velocity slugs were a little rough, I accidentally sent 2 of them on setting #2. That... was a different story.

I'm still sorting things out. The rear sight base isn't flat. Its a little canted. And its not awesome with target loads. Probably do a booster Puck and a plug.

Here's another with the grenade launcher pad on. With that in place its like shooting a REALLY LOUD BB gun. (Not really, but for a shotgun. Its so tame.)

As I sat here straightening up a bit from the S12 conversion ... a tool box floater called out to me. I picked this up at a show like years ago. Thinking it was for an AK, and it wasn't. I think its for an SKS. I was going to cut it up and put it in the mini S12 upper HG. I wanted to size it up. So I grabbed an AK. And this kinda happened.



I'm going to get a new AMD gas tube and tack it on. I think it looks mean as fawk! And like it belongs.

I'm a bit of a purist... but this almost looks factory. In case you didn't notice my idea of "new grips" = wrapping the originals. Lol.

What say ye AK fans? Am I committing sacrilege against MK by adding this heat shield to an AMD 65?

I will shorten it up so its the perfect length before installation.

Yay or nay?
