Default Hunting on thanksgiving day questions

Hey I was talking to some friends and asking if anyone wanted to go coyote hunting on thanksgiving day.

One of them said it was illegal to hunt on T-day - that was news to me!

Ive done some searches online and come up empty

can anyone help me out with some info?

Turkey starts back up on Thanksgiving for most of the State, that's what we'll be hunting. You've pretty much always been able to hunt something on Thanksgiving, we used to rabbit hunt all the time when I was a kid. There's nothing that goes out on Christmas that I'm aware of either. Not much is in season then besides coyote but you can still hunt on Christmas.

Most small game is open til Dec 24th then reopens december 26th so christmas is closed to just about everything except for coyotes and furbearers you are allowed to hunt.

I was out for small game and turkey on thanksgiving but it may have been too cold for the birds. High temp was only 24 here
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.
