CC at public gatherings in PA?
New to PA, and still learning details of the carry laws....I read through the sticky and most of the threat posts, but didn't find a specific answer on this question:
Many states have restrictions against license/permit holders carrying firearms at "public gatherings" etc. that often include political rallies, sporting events, parades, sometimes movie theaters, concerts, and other organized public meetings regardless of venue. Are there any such restrictions in PA?
Thanks,

Many states? That doesn't sound good at all. Is there a list of such states? I would be surprised if it was many.

Re: CC at public gatherings in PA?
Indeed! I'd like to think that the majority of States have no such rules/laws.
With laws like that, it sounds like they want to disrupt two Constitutionally protected Rights with one 'stone'. The First Amendment protects the Right of Peaceable Assembly, and... I think it's the Second Amendment that has... What was it? Uhh... something to do with the, um... the National Guard or something... Right?
I do vaguely remember a short-lived thread not too long ago about some 'citizen assemblers' that gathered near (or, possibly, on the property of) an abortion clinic in... I think it was North Carolina. It was focused around a video clip shot from a cell phone. It came out in that thread that there is some kooky law 'on the books' in that State (whichever it was) that prohibits carrying firearms at "protests" (or "while protesting" or something like that). I recall thinking that any such laws seemed unconstitutional to me.
.Cogito, ergo armatus sum....Say that to my face.

if you are cc that means no one needs to know if you have it. wal-mart the fire-hall or any place else that thinks they can make their own laws above the state. now they can ask you to leave if they find out.

To put it another way, it's encouraged. By me, at least.

Re: CC at public gatherings in PA?
If it isn't in the list in the FAQ - dont worry about it in PA. lol
I've read every law and public regulation in PA even remotely mentioning "guns" and "firearms" - if it's pertinent to places & carrying, its in that list. If its not in that list, then you really need not worry. The only couple exceptions are for daycare workers, EMS, and some beautician employment fields.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515
