    Default Taurus 669

What do you guys know about the Taurus 669? My uncle has a 4" blued with wood grips for sale. It's used but he says it's in really good condition $270 is his asking price but he may go a little lower for me.

Good gun for the money , I have a 689 . same gun but mine has a vent rib and stainless, I used to have another one also blue with a 6 inch. Anyhow I think the price is a bit high. Now I got mine years ago , maybe 10 to 12 yrs ago thereabouts , I think I paid about 225.00 for the blued one , I know prices go up but still I think it is kinda high.

Had one several years ago, but sold it when I bought a Taurus 627 Tracker. The only reason I sold it was to help finance the Tracker (which is a better gun, IMHO).

The 669 was a nice gun...good shooter. Had a problem with the cylinder spinning (no lock up) which Taurus repaired with no problem and no cost to me. Mine was also stainless with the rib.
$270 seems high, but since new gun prices have risen, used prices have risen too.
So, if you like it, I suggest you buy it.

I think I'd rather have a Ruger GP100 series. I hear good things about them plus I really like they way they look.
