I understand how it seems strange that you can possess firearms in the service but not acquire a ltcf. The truth is, the requirements in this respect are tighter when trying to get the ltcf than it is enlisting. The military offers waivers for prior convictions, the state does not when issuing permits.

Yep. But the military wants recruits... the state probably couldn't care less about issuing licenses.

yes, not "gay" gay, but "ghey" gay. we here at PAFOA are not homophobic, nor do we condone homophobia, or any other degregation of alternative lifestyles. Homosexuals are as protected under our base freedoms as anyone else. Go freedom.*

The military does tightly control his access to firearms in this country. He just can't take his M16 and wander the streets of Gettysburg with it at will.

    ^ this!

Complete fuckin stupidity. One of my pet peeves is soldiers being shit on, and this reeks of shit.
This guy gets paid by the .gov to defend my freedoms and risk his life but cant come home from a damn war and carry a gun? Seriously if its like that he shouldnt be allowed to carry one to war.

If it was a minor offense that shouldnt be a lifelong prohibiting offense, how do we go about changing the law?
Millions for defense, Not one cent for tribute!

i dont think you need a license from your home state to get a Non Resident Florida CCW....a lot of people carry in GA with one because they are prohibited from the GFL because of pot misd.... but they are carrying illegal if they are a GA resident....here military is exempt from the need for a GA permit and in fact have the same rights to carry a a LEO under GA code 16-11-130(3) even visiting US military there are no off limits places.......also our NG members are exempt as well as people in the GA state defense force
