Default AR Pistol: Model 1 Vs. J&T Distributing

    Hey guys,

I'm looking to do a simple AR pistol build, and found both Model 1 (http://www.model1sales.com/) and J&T Distributing (http://jtdistributing.net/index.html) to have very nice prices, and good reputations.

Any suggestions on which company I should go with?

    Thanks,
    -Mike

You should be happy with either of them.

I don't have any first hand experience with Model 1 sales, just what I've heard over the years which is why I don't have experience with them. I chose to stay away.

J&T on the other hand I do have first hand experience and I can say its A+. I've bought several kits from them over the past 10 years and all have been exactly what I paid for. All ran fine with zero quality issues. Now keep in mind I haven't seen what they've been putting out for the past 3 years but I was happy with everything I've gotten from them prior to that.

I think your wait will be longer with Model 1. J&T has a good rep and sells quality parts, they are also Ace, which makes a very reliable pistol buffer kit for around $55. I used one on my 7.5" DPMS Pistol upper and it's performed great, 100% with any ammo.
