    My thoughts exactly.

Mine is more comfy to shoot with rubber than wood.

i think the wood looks better but you can use both they are both great looking grips on that big magnum-and hey Rocketfoot looks like your trying to get your Ruger drunk with all that whiskey next to it

I think most of us prefer the aesthetics of wood for most applications but that's a tiny bit of wood for such a massive firearm. The Pachmyer's look good as well, probably have more appealing relative dimensions, and are probably more functional. Maybe some pics in your holster? That could make all the difference.

I do not care for pachmeyer geips much. I would use the wood grips.

Yeah. I am partial to the wood. They are just so tiny for my meat hooks. Maybe I'll look on ebay for some nice over molded wood stocks.

I have used houge on a few handguns. They seem to offer a good grip. The 10/22 I rebuilt has a houge over, olded stock. Works well.

    Beautiful hand-canon you got there!

    I voted for the wood.

I realize that the rubber will probably absorb alot of the recoil and be more comfortable. I just personally never liked any grip (be it on a pistol, a knife, etc.) that had finger grooves built in. I must be odd, 'cuz they are never placed where my fingers want to be.

IMO the wood looks WAY better but the rubber will no doubt make it feel better in your hand. I have one SA revolver that not only feels better with rubber but I can get a higher grip on it and shoot it much more accurately as well. As it sits in my safe right at this moment it is wearing wood. Go figure.

I need to decide what looks better

Looks are one thing but after ripping skin off my thumb with the factory wood grips and full magnums I bought the Pachmyrs over 20 years ago and haven't gone back.

I think the black rubber goes fine with the stainless...and works better too!

You're right, the wood does look better, but there is no doubt that the Goodyear's will perform at the range better! I will try both just to be sure. The nice thing is that they are easily interchangeable so I can swap them out anytime I like!
