Exercising the new ability to legally carry in National Parks

Well, it is with sad news I write here this afternoon but reality is what reality is. His lungs filled with cancer rather quickly I think and as I went in for a check up with Conan today, another X-Ray revealed a very aggressive cancer and the decision was made to let him be a peace.

Behind the vets office is a large grassy field. Conan and I went out there and layed down on his favorite blanket for awhile. Oddly enough, at the edge of the blanket were two duck feathers. I picked one up and let Conan smell it where he immediately gulped it down. What can be said about a bird dog that has retrieved well over 2000 birds in his life!! The sun was shining bright with a slight breeze, quiet, and peaceful. He passed in my arms fully feeling all the love I have for him.

Ahh. I'm very sorry to hear this. I'm done with pets unless I get one that is going to outlive me.
