    Default Para PDA

My dad has a para pda and the slide is stuck (no round chambered) and you can not pull it back more than like half an inch. Does anyone have any ideas what can be wrong and any ideas on how to fix it? My dad says the grip safety fells odd. If the grip saftey is not depress that should not stop someone from racking the slide. right?

Even though you can not pull the slide back, can you slide it forward? I mean field strip the piece and look for what is broken?

This is not like a normal 1911 it does not have a barrel bushing you turn. I guess i should have said that before.

You just pull back the slide about 1.5" and push the slide slide realse out, then the slide will come off. Pretty easy, except when the slide is stuck .

since the slide is fully locked to the rear, then take a look at the ejector.

see if its flat and in place or if it looks like it has risen up.

if the ejector is up see if you can get it back in place by using a plastic drift punch or brass punch and GENTLY knock the ejector back in place.

    hope this helps.
    gotta love her ;)

If you would like to send i to me I will look at it. It could be any # of things
If you do not want to send it to me, take it to some one who is knowledgeable on the 1911 platform. Call me 1-866-562-2520 and we can talk about the problem
